Hello. I am Heather. 

My interests are many and various. There’s a definite transport theme, though. I am a self-employed model maker, specialising in British outline model railways. I have an interest in history – all of it! – but I centre on one particular year, and that is 1940. It began as an interest in the Battle of Britain, but has kind of spread to include the whole of the calendar year. I plan blog about it, but it will be a while coming.

Other interests include photography, reading, Star Trek, chocolate biscuits, cuddling my husband and our cat. I try not to get involved in anything contentious, but let’s just say my politics are very left wing these days. 

I am trying to make an interesting blog entry once a week. Let me know if you enjoy what you read.
